Superbreak Predicts An Egg-Cellent Easter For Agents25 February 2008
Superbreak is predicting over 60,000 customers will book short breaks through agents over the two week Easter period. It feels there are even more earning opportunities this year with everyone enjoying four days off from Good Friday to Easter Monday and then, in some areas, children going back to school before beginning their Easter break a week later. The operator is expecting over 15,000 customers to take breaks over the Easter weekend itself and predicts over 50% of these will book within three weeks of travel, meaning their bookings are still waiting to be made. With great children go free offers all around the UK and some fun filled things for all the family to do, the operator is encouraging agents to push short breaks to destinations within two and a half hours drive from home!
Chris Cundall, sales office manager at Superbreak comments: “Currently 25,000 customers have booked through agents for the Easter period so we predict that over 30,000 still have to book. Easter is one of the most popular times for people to take a short break with many people having extended time off work. The opportunities for agents are excellent with attractions such as Legoland and Alton Towers proving popular for families as the new season starts and new rides open, whereas destinations like London and the Lake District are ideal for couples. Also, our kids go free deals mean that a family break is great value, so agents should focus strongly on destinations that are two and half hours drive away from them to give relevance to the offers they promote – this is often key to UK short break sales.”
Superbreak’s children go free policy means up to two children under 16 can stay for FREE when sharing a room with two adults, plus get free rail travel if booking a rail inclusive package. Sample products available during the Easter period for agents to promote include:
