Superbreak offers packages to ‘Scarefest’ at Alton Towers
With Halloween just a few weeks away and half-term even closer – why not treat the family to a short break to ‘Scarefest’ at Alton Towers. Running from now until 4 November, discover more about the spooky past of Alton Towers at the parks biggest ever Halloween event. Short break specialist Superbreak (www.superbreak.com) has a range of packages that combine overnight accommodation with tickets to the park.
Scarefest offers something for all the family from tiny terrors to heart-pounding scares for the fearless. For the little ones there are treats such the Pumpkin Patch, a pumpkin themed indoor play area or Fright Lights, a eerie light and laser show at the end of the day. For braver beings the fear factor has been raised with Field of1000 Screams – a new addition for 2007 which is a maze grown on cursed land and hides more shocks and scares. Or perhaps the Haunted Hallow will appeal with its unearthly former residents and grave diggers who, rumour has it, get scarier from 4pm. For the totally fearless then there is the Terror of the Towers where visitors brave the legend of the bloodthirsty master and his victims and discover nasty surprises around each corner.
