out of 5Trip was for Six Nations Rugby - hotel is situated well, walking distance to Princess Street in 10 minutes, very good transportation available in Edinburgh, easy access to attractions.Great staff, good food, comfortable bed, however, poor soundproofing for adjoining rooms, very tired decor, grubby carpets, damaged/cracked sink and stained bath. Overall cleanliness needed help, had an inch thick of dust on tables. Did not appreciate being woken up at 2.00am by drunken guests crashing into our room door and proceeding to vomit until 4.am (evidence of no soundproofing). Needed a rest when I got home from the lack of sleep.Three star I think not, overpriced for what we got.

out of 5Did so much shopping/eating/drinking/walking and sightseeing we needed 3 weeks not 3 days! Can't wait to go back. A must do visit, try all the streets to the rear of Princes Street, as it would be a shame to miss the real gems you will find in them.

out of 5The hotel staff were so friendly and helpful giving us information about local attractions, even when we asked for the bus route to the beach resort of Portobello on a cold February morning! They also recommended a fantastic Thai restaurant. We were able to see so much on our short two day stay.

out of 5It was all about chilling after an horrendous previous year and that is exactly what we managed to do.Great city, truly beautiful and friendly.Great pubs, superb restaurants and amazing scenery
