Paris City Holiday Reviews

Notre Dame Cathedral, Paris

By booking a hotel in Paris you are setting yourself up to experience one of Europe's most famous cities. Visit one of the world's most romantic and enchanting capitals rich in famous landmarks, monuments and inspirational museums. Admire spectacular panoramic views from the Eiffel Tower, walk the elegant boulevards, shop in the exclusive boutiques along Champs Elysees and enjoy iconic cabarets at Paradis Latin whilst on your stay in one of the many amazing hotels in Paris.
Parisian hotels vary depending on where you are in the city and how much you have to spend. Here at SuperBreak, we offer everything from 5 star grandeur in hotels on the Place de la Republique to affordable 2 and 3 star hotels all over the city. There are hotels in Paris for everyone! You can choose to travel to Paris via Eurostar or fly from your local airport with our Paris flight breaks.

But what should you do once you have booked? Once you have your hotel in place, why not try out some of our favourite things to see and do whilst in Paris.

  • Tour the Eiffel Tower - no trip to Paris could be complete without a trip to La Tour Eiffel, the stunning surroundings really help to highlight what a glorious feat of engineering this was. There are three levels for visitors including and observatory and restaurants.
  • The Louvre the Mona Lisa is one of the most famous paintings in history and by visiting the Louvre you can see this great work. The Louvre is France's premier art gallery and offers visitors the chance to see some of the best pieces in the world.
  • The Champs-Elysees and Arc de Triomphe Two of the most iconic sections of the city, these two lead nicely on to each other. After sampling some of the shopping on the Champs-Elysees why not go and marvel at the Arc de Triomphe. The Arc stands at the western end of the Champs-Elysees and was erected as a memorial to soldiers that died in the French Revolutionary and Napoleonic wars. It is recommended that anyone who wants to view the Arc de Triomphe uses the underpasses rather than attempts to cross the road above. Once you have seen the traffic, you will be very glad of your hotel in Paris rather than having to drive out of it!
For more ideas and inspiration, visit our Paris travel guide to start planning your trip.So you have heard what the city has to offer, so why not book one of our Paris hotels and enjoy one of the most beautiful cities in the world.

Paris

Stay Date: 21/06/13, a customer aged 45-64 who stayed at 3* Campanile Maine Montparnasse in Paris wrote this review.

The hotel we went to Campanile du Maine was very good. We had room on 6th floor and had a front facing room and had view of Montparnasse Tower and is was all lit up at night which was nice. There is See More  Read more information a nice little cafe across the road. Very basic but lovely food and a Bar/Brasserie on the corner which has lovely food and has nice atmosphere and staff very friendly and polite. The Metro isquite easy to navigate once you learn the number of the metro you want. We also like going to Galieries Layfayette which are well worth going to although you might not be ableto buy as its very expensivebut worth a look. Hotel within easy walking distance of hotel and nearest Metro is Gaite although Montparnasse metro is't much further away. Our room was very clean and quite a good size, breakfastwas very good. Its buffet style [all cold] but you can have as much as you want to eat. Staff were helpful. Would recommend this hotel to family and friends. All in all very pleased.   Collapse  Hide

City Break in Paris

Stay Date: 15/07/13, a customer aged 65+ from Rochdale who stayed at 3* Best Western Ronceray Opera in Paris wrote this review.

Great Western Ronceray was an excellent location for my particular needs. Just 15 mins walk to the area of Opera and 25 mins walk to the Louvre. It is an average 3 star hotel, room was clean and See More  Read more information bright. Staff were friendly and helpful. The area immediately round the hotel is buzzing. The hotel entrance is down a quaint arcade with small shops. I booked a Red Bus ( on/ off ) tour which I pickedup at the Opera area. The break was a complete success.   Collapse  Hide

Paris for the end of the Tour de France

Stay Date: 19/07/13, a customer aged 45-64 from Milton Keynes who stayed at 2* Little Hotel - République in Paris wrote this review.

Hotel was fine for purpose, not too far from Gare du Nord and walking/Metro distance to all main attractions in Paris. Staff were attentive. Weather was red hot so spent a lot of time in Hotel room! See More  Read more information but we know Paris quite well. Room was small but sufficient for our needs, breakfast was included and again was perfectly adequate. Restaurant over road was a bit noisy, but with windows wide openc'est la vie en Paris! Close to 2 Metro stations so easy to get about and local bars were good to sit at and watch world go by when cooler in the evening.   Collapse  Hide

Great place to stay (Kyriad) as shuttle to Disneyland was great. Breakfast also great . Rooms good but bathrooms were a little tired. Stayed for two days on way down to mid France. Great stopping See More  Read more information off point to break journey. Disneyland was great fun - all enjoyed it a;though we had to split up due to height restrictions on some rides but 'child swap' worked great. Paris Experience.

Stay Date: 02/08/13, a customer aged 45-64 who stayed at 3* Alane Hotel - Gare du Nord in Paris wrote this review.

The hotel was functional as for us it was just a base to crash out in at night. It was very hot so windows needed to be open allowing the street noise in making sleep difficult. The staff were very See More  Read more information friendly and helpful though even chasing up some missing paperwork for us to get into one of the attractions. Getting to all the traditional sights (Eiffel Tower, Louvre, Notre Dame, Arc De Triomphe,Champs Elysees etc.) was very simple and quick using the metro system, though we also walked to others (Montmartre, along the Seine). Check the menus outside the restaurants and bistros to make sureit fits your price range as we did find many basic menus expensive in the tourist areas. We ate at the bars and bistros just off these areas, that the locals frequented, and enjoyed the food, wine andambience. We thoroughly enjoyed the break, were amazed at what we fitted in, have some great memories and were sorry to have to leave.   Collapse  Hide
