Short Break in Paris

Stay Date: 17/09/12, a customer aged 65+ from Reading who stayed at 3* Hotel at Gare du Nord in Paris wrote this review.

The hotel room was very small but clean. The 'en suite' bathroom was tiny, I needed to leave the door open in order to have room to wash. The shower was tiny and if I had been a large person would See More  Read more information have been impossible to get into. Walls were paper thin and I could hear every tiny little sound made by other hotel users in the rooms over or close to mine. Also unable to leave window open at nightdue to the hotel's close proximity to the Gare Le Est railway line which if very busy until late at night and starts up again at about 5 in the morning. Luckily the nights were quite chilly so no needto leave windows open but could still hear some level of noise from the trains. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was adequate, if you like continental breakfasts. The hotel wasonly 5 minutes walk from Gare Du Nord and about 2 or 3 minutes walk away from the metro at Chateau Landon, so very easy to get about. As a solo traveller this was a plus as I was keen to see as muchas possible. Although the hotel was clean and the staff were very good I would not choose to stay in this hotel again.   Collapse  Hide

Paris Overnight

Stay Date: 06/03/13, a customer aged 25-44 from Slough who stayed at 3* Est Hotel Paris in Paris wrote this review.

Hotel was in a great location, especially for attending a gig at Le Bataclan, also for walking around Paris city. (Make sure you have good walking shoes packed!!) just strolling taking in all the See More  Read more information sights and stopping for coffee and cake makes for a great day in a lovely city. The hotel was basic and dated but clean, the staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. I did ask for a non smokingroom but it obviously changes with the guest as it smelt a little of smoke. Breakfast was basic - cereal, bread or cake, but surprisingly for continental no cheese or ham to go with the bread!! Butoverall a pleasant stay.   Collapse  Hide

Paris at Xmas Time

Stay Date: 13/12/13, a customer aged 45-64 from Chester who stayed at 3* Hotel at Gare du Nord in Paris wrote this review.

Hotel room clean but small, handy location near to Gare du Nord Station for Eurostar train. Continental breakfast adequate. Worth buying a book of tickets to travel around on the Metro - 10 tickets See More  Read more information cost 13 Euros and each ticket qualifies for a one way trip. Reasonably easy to get around on the Metro. Xmas decorations around main areas very good this year. Paris is quite expensive and the shopsat home are probably better value.   Collapse  Hide

Explorers Hotel great Euro Disney base

Stay Date: 09/06/14, a customer aged 25-44 who stayed at 3* Explorers Hotel at Disneyland Paris in Disneyland Paris wrote this review.

We stayed at the Explorers Hotel just a short shuttle bus ride from the DIsney parks. The hotel was a super base for Disney it caters for families it has a fab swimming pool with a pirate ship and a See More  Read more information soft play area the only downfall is that after a day in Disney your sometimes to tired to make full use of the facilities. Please note if you plan to use the swimming pool everyone must wear aswimming costume or swimming trunks not swimming shorts if you don't you can't swim or you can buy them there at 12 Euro's a pair. The continental breakfast is pretty good and you can also get an Englishbreakfast for a surcharge. There is a free shuttle bus to and from Disneyland but please note no one queues so it's a case of Everyman for himself! With a buggy it isn't good we found out that you canpark for free at the Disneyland car park if your staying at the explorers you just need to show your hotel Identity card. Overall it was an enjoyable stay and I will definitely be returning.   Collapse  Hide
