Visiting the National Rail Museum in York
Date Posted: 01/07/13
The National Rail Museum in York is a great place to head if you want to find out more about trains and railways.
And with the summer holidays on their way, the attraction has announced a host of special activities will be taking place from July 24th to September 1st this year.
The museum's Great Hall will be hosting craft sessions every day for the kids, for example, and there'll be a family-friendly trail called the 'speed trail' on offer, which will see visitors hunting for the speedometers in different parts of the NRM.
These are just some of the free activities that are set to be on offer during the holidays, check out the museum's website for more!
Home to a huge range of rail themed exhibits - including a great number of trains from different periods of history, the NRM costs nothing to get into and could easily fill much of a day for anyone visiting York on short breaks or day trips.
