V&A holds workshop on origami
Date Posted: 19/09/13
The V&A is set to hold a workshop about the paper-folding art of origami.
With Nick Bieber demonstrating the folds, the event will take place at the V&A's Sackler Centre on September 19th.
The morning masterclass will kick off at 11am and will see visitors taught to make windmill purses and star boxes out of nothing more than paper.
Organisers promise that the techniques taught will be simple, and that folders will be able to keep their creations.
Origami can famously be used to make any number of paper sculptures, including the iconic crane.
The origami event on September 19th is completely free of charge and people can simply drop in and take part.
Those on short breaks to the capital could easily combine this workshop with a trip around the exciting V&A Museum to see the venue's spectacular exhibits.
