Tom Hiddleston Returns to Donmar Warehouse
Date Posted: 21/05/13
After appearing in a number of Hollywood blockbusters in recent years, British actor Tom Hiddleston is returning to the theatre where he began his career, and is set to play the title role in a new production of Shakespeare's Coriolanus at London's Donmar Warehouse.
Having previously gained recognition for his performances in plays Othello and Ivanov at the venue in 2008, Hiddleston went on to play the role of Loki in Thor and Avengers Assemble, while also joining the cast of other films such as The Deep Blue Sea and War Horse.
Josie Rourke, who is directing the play, has described the star as "one of our leading young classical actors", adding that her version of Coriolanus - which opens in December - would be a "contemporary" production.
Anyone interested in London theatre breaks may want to book their tickets for the show sooner rather later, as Donmar Warehouse is a particularly intimate venue with a somewhat limited seating capacity.
