Titanic Belfast Proves to be a Massive Hit
Date Posted: 25/04/13
Launched to mark the centenary of the sinking of the Titanic, Belfast's latest tourist attraction has proved to be a huge success and has now become something of a must-see for visitors to the city.
Latest figures indicate that Titanic Belfast, a six-storey exhibition centre dedicated to the iconic ship, received more than 800,000 people in its first year alone, which is a real testament to the quality of the displays and activities on offer at the venue.
Northern Ireland's first minister Peter Robinson commented: "There can be no doubt that Titanic Belfast has proved a world renowned attraction and an achievement of which we should all be rightly proud."
Guests at Belfast hotels can learn about the history of the Titanic, from its initial design and construction all the way up to the aftermath of its tragic sinking, by visiting the centre, which sits close to the slipway where the vessel launched.
