Jonathan Ansell, who made his name as a member of the X Factor operatic quartet G4, is now set to lead the cast in a musical adaptation of Charles Dickens' A Tale of Two Cities at the Charing Cross Theatre.
G4 fans should plan theatre breaks in London from Tuesday, April 17th when the performance opens to the public. Previews commence on Thursday, April 5th.
Ansell will play the leading role of Charles Darnay in the version of the novel that first debuted in 2008.
This run, which marks Dickens' bicentenary, continues until Saturday, May 12th.
Ansell's recent credits include Lyrics, Whistle Down the Wind and Lark Rise to Candleford.
G4 were the runners-up in the first ever series of the now legendary reality television series. Ansell remained with the group until 2007 when he went solo, releasing two successful albums.
This particular musical adaptation was written by David Pomeranz, Steven David Horwich and David Soames.
