Take part in the Pirate Party at the Cutty Sark
Date Posted: 28/03/14
This May bank holiday weekend, the famous tea clipper the Cutty Sark and the National Maritime Museum will be holding swashbuckling pirate parties for the whole family.
Activities will include a Pirate Takeover of the Cutty Sark itself and an arts and crafts session where kids will be able to create their own treasure to hide on a tropical island.
There will of course be the treasure hunt itself, where kids will search for props around the ship and the museum to find everything they need for a buccaneer adventure.
In the National Maritime Museum, little ones will be treated to music and storytelling of adventures on the high seas and older ones will be able to discover original documents and hear about the fascinating tales of what pirates were really like.
Other activities include craft workshops to create galleons to sail the Seven Seas and a Pirate Dance. There will also be prizes for the best fancy dress, so don’t forget to come in costume.
Why not make a bank holiday break out of your pirate adventures and stay at a London hotel?
