Take part in the Holi Festival of Colours in London
Date Posted: 06/05/14
You won’t have to go as far as India to take part in one of the country’s most vibrant festivals, as from June 28th to 29th, the Holi Festival of Colours will be coming to London’s Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park.
The event takes inspiration from the colourful Indian festival, which is held each year during the night of the full moon during the month of Phaluga.
The Hindu celebration hails the beginning of spring and the triumph of good over evil with the throwing of clouds of coloured powdered paint and that’s exactly what will be happening in London this year.
Organised by Holi Concept GmbH, the festival will be visiting 30 cities in six countries and will boast over 250,000 participants in total.
Why not experience a bit of Indian culture in London with a hotel break, combining it with trips to Brick Lane for Indian handicrafts, delicacies and of course curry houses?
