Status Quo to play reform gigs
Date Posted: 07/11/12
Legendary rock band Status Quo are to reform for a series of one-off gigs in March next year.
The band's manager Simon Porter made the announcement, saying that "people have wanted this announcement to be made for years" with the tour getting underway at Glasgow's O2 Academy on Sunday, March 10th.
Fans of the Frantic Four will also be looking to book hotels in Manchester for when the band play the city's O2 Apollo two days later.
The Quo will then go on to perform at Wolverhampton's Civic Hall before two dates at London's HMV Hammersmith Apollo, starting on Friday, March 15th.
Mr Porter described the announcement of the gigs as "a real moment in the chequered history of Status Quo" which he said came after "almost 30 years of acrimony, and ten years of law suits and court battles".
This year marks the 50th anniversary of when band members Francis Rossi and Alan Lancaster first played togther.
