Sri Lanka's Muttiah Muralitharan to retire after World Cup

Test cricket's leading wicket-taker Muttiah Muralitharan is to retire from international cricket following the upcoming World Cup in Asia.
The Sri Lankan star, known as Murali, quit the long form of the game in July after reaching exactly 800 wickets.
He has continued to play limited overs matches for his country, however, he has decided to call it a day and will now not tour England in the summer.
Sri Lanka are due to play three Test matches and five one-day internationals in the UK, starting with the first Test in front of those booking Cardiff hotels at the Swalec Stadium between Thursday May 26th and Monday 30th.
"Our preparation has been good, but I think we have a good chance because we're playing in Sri Lanka. There won't be a huge [home] advantage, but it will have a little bit of impact," Murali told BBC Radio 5 Live ahead of the World Cup.
