American rockers Soundgarden are to return to the Shepherds Bush Empire for a performance, 18 years after becoming the first band to play at the venue.
Not only will their performance on Friday, November 9th be a landmark for the band for the above reason, those attending the show are likely to be treated to debut UK performances of songs from their forthcoming album King Animal.
Many people will see the gig as the perfect way to kick off weekend city breaks in London, ahead of King Animal's release on Monday, November 12th.
The album is one of the most keenly anticipated albums of 2012, having been produced by Adam Kasper of Foo Fighters, Nirvana and Pearl Jam fame.
It's not just the production value of the album that has heightened anticipation either, with this album containing the first new songs by the band since the 1990s.
Tickets on go on sale from 10am on Friday, October 26th.
