Sooty and co to make a festive return to the West End
Date Posted: 28/09/12

Three of the world's most famous puppets, Sooty, Sweep and Soo, are to return to London's West End with their trusty human compatriot Richard, for an intergalactic festive adventure entitled Sooty in Space.
The show, which runs between Friday, December 21st and Saturday, January 5th at the Duchess Theatre, is ideal for families with young children going on Christmas breaks in the capital.
With its array of flying cups and saucers, dancing martians and, of course, Sooty's robot friend Harry, young and old alike will not be able to stifle a smile.
There will also be a magical 3D section of the show for which the audience will be handed a special, free pair of space goggles so they can watch the glorious Flight to Mars in all three dimensions.
Sooty has been a feature of children's TV since the 1950s, making it the longest running children's programme in UK, according to the Guinness Book of Records. He reached the ripe age of 60 in July 2008.
