See Macbeth on Stage at the Globe
Date Posted: 28/06/13
One of the most thriller-esque Shakespeare plays, Macbeth, has just begun a run at the Shakespeare's Globe theatre in London.
The play is famously set in Scotland and follows Macbeth as he takes on a bloody quest to gain the throne - having been promised the kingdom by a trio of witches. The production at the Globe is set to be performed until October 13th this year.
Also being performed at the open-air theatre at the moment are comedies The Tempest and A Midsummer Night's Dream, both of which feature a large pinch of the magical and would make a great pairing for anyone looking to take in two plays at the Globe in quick succession.
Later in the year the three plays of Henry VI, which are among Shakespeare's history works, will hit the stage at the Globe.
Theatre breaks in London allow you to stay in the UK city that is truly home to more theatrical productions than anywhere else in the UK.
