Robert Powell joins cast of Singin' in the Rain
Date Posted: 07/09/12

Holby City and Jesus of Nazareth star Robert Powell is set to join the cast of the precipitation-soaked musical Singin' in the Rain.
Fans of Powell should book theatre breaks in London from Monday, October 1st to catch the TV and film actor playing the role of studio boss RF Simpson at the West End's Palace Theatre.
He will star opposite Adam Cooper, Daniel Crossley, Scarlett Strallen and Katherine Kingsley in the production that is based on the classic film from MGM.
Powell has said he is "delighted" to be joining the West End production and he feels like he will be perfect for the role, given the studio bosses he has dealt with over the years.
It tells the tale of a silent movie actor named Don Lockwood, who is played by Cooper, whose life changes when the advancement of technology means actors have to be able to talk, sing and dance to be successful.
Due to its success, Singin' in the Rain's run at the Palace Theatre has been extended all the way to Sunday, September 1st 2013.
