Revamped London Dungeon Opens Today
Date Posted: 01/03/13

From today (March 1st), those on cheap city breaks in London can enjoy the brand new London Dungeon experience.
After entertaining and scaring tourists for almost 40 years at its Tooley Street location, the company decided to relocate to County Hall on the South Bank in order to provide a bigger and better experience.
One of the capital's most popular attractions, the Dungeon tour introduces visitors to some of London's infamous characters from history, including Jack the Ripper and Sweeney Todd.
As well as live actors, Dungeon-goers can now expect state-of-the-art special effects and two exciting thrill rides, Henry's Wrath and Drop Dead, to spice up their visit.
Henry VIII is played virtually during the Wrath ride by the British stage legend Brian Blessed, who condemns you to a journey down the River Thames to your execution, while Drop Dead sees brave volunteers taking a three-storey plunge in the pitch dark.
