Research your summer holiday before heading away

British holidaymakers should ensure they fully research any destination they are considering heading to well ahead of booking their city breaks, according to Andy Edmonds, editor of Travellikeabrit.co.uk.
This means looking into its society and understanding what is expected as a visitor going there, particularly if a place has a vastly different culture to home.
"Should I tip? How do I greet somebody? Basic communication skills. You will find the locals accept you more if you try," said Mr Edmonds.
One great European city for British travellers is Budapest in Hungary. It is beautiful, fun and very affordable for those on a budget. The food is great, the locals are friendly and trip is probably worth it for the wonderful thermal baths alone.
Another popular destination at the moment is Vienna in Austria. It remains one of the most striking and attractive cities in Europe with some of the continent's richest history, providing endless attractions for visitors to keep themselves entertained and culturally informed.
