Regent's Park Open Air Theatre is set to open this month, allowing anyone planning theatre breaks in London to experience breathtaking shows in the sunshine during the coming months.
The first show to start the season is Ragtime the Musical, which begins at 19:45 BST on Friday, May 18th. It tells the tale of three diverse groups of people in American society during the early 20th century.
Ragtime continues until Saturday, September 8th, but there are many more shows lined-up to keep theatre lovers entertained.
Shakespeare's A Midsummer Night's Dream begins on Saturday, June 2nd and runs until Wednesday, September 5th. There will also be a number of one-off music, comedy and film events.
Jimmy Carr is set to deliver his near-legendary one-liners on Sunday, July 8th and the best-selling jazz singer Stacey Kent will take to the stage on Sunday, July 15th.
Regent's Park Open Air Theatre is now in its 80th season in London and can certainly be considered a cultural mainstay of summer entertainment in the capital. Its steep auditorium with room for 1,240 people makes it one of the most intimate and atmospheric venues to see comedy, theatre and music performances.
