Reading and Leeds Festival headliners announced
Date Posted: 13/03/12
The Cure, Kasabian and Foo Fighters are set to headline Britain's most popular festival pairing, the Reading and Leeds Festivals, this August.
Fans should not leave it until the last minute to buy their tickets as the festivals consistently sell out year after year.
The events take place over the bank holiday weekend from Friday, August 24th to Sunday, August 26th.
Other acts also confirmed to play are Florence and the Machine, The Black Keys, the recently reunited At the Drive-In and the ever controversial hip-hop collective OFWGKTA.
Many more artists are to be revealed across the seven stages, but music fanatics can rest assured that the line-up will not disappoint.
The festivals began as the National Jazz Festival in 1961. It travelled around to a number of locations before settling in the Berkshire city in 1971. The Leeds half of the festival was added in 1999 due to overwhelming demand and limited space in Reading.
Tickets were released yesterday and are priced at £197.50 plus a booking fee for the whole weekend.
