Rare John Lennon photographs released
Date Posted: 28/10/10
Never-before-seen photographs which were taken of Beatles member John Lennon just two days before he was murdered have been released.
The images, which show the star during his final ever interview on December 6th 1980, are set to go under the hammer next month and are expected to fetch thousands of pounds.
Mark Hayward, a music historian, is selling the negatives, along with the copyright, with the ten pictures of Lennon predicted to go for around £1,200 each.
"They are the last ones of him ever taken. He had been doing an interview for Radio One and obviously when staff knew John Lennon was coming they were keen to be photographed with him," he told the Daily Telegraph.
Those interested in the history of one of the world's biggest bands ever can see more memorabilia by choosing from a number of musical city breaks and visiting the Beatles Story museum in Liverpool.
