The Queen's Guards have a few tricks up their sleeve this summer
Date Posted: 22/07/14
There really has never been a better time to visit Buckingham Palace. Today, for instance, is the first birthday of Prince George, which means interest in the Royal Family is set to remain high over the coming weeks and months. What's more, the legendary Queen's Guard have been springing a few surprises of late.
Known for their famous red uniforms and bearskins, the guards outside the palace left visitors speechless a few days ago when they unexpectedly performed the theme tune of the popular TV show Game of Thrones.
It is still unknown whether or not the Queen's Guards will be putting on any more impromptu musical entertainment this summer, although regardless of what songs they play, it's always a thrill to see the Changing of the Guards, which takes place on a daily basis throughout the warmer months of the year.
If you happen to be staying in a London hotel over the next few weeks and months, you'd be a fool not to head down to the palace to see what's going on.
