Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park is to open to the public
Date Posted: 28/02/14
From April 5th people will be able to explore more of Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park as the newly landscaped south of the Park opens to the public for the first time since the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games.
Visitors will be able to spend the day admiring the beautiful parkland, fountains and waterways, not to mention world-class sporting venues and events.
The Park will also feature four walking trails taking in the various sights including the ArcelorMittal Orbit – the UK’s tallest sculpture, offering a totally new perspective of London.
More than a million visitors have already enjoyed the Park since so far since the 2012 Olympics, through various staged events.
From March 1st visitors will also be able to enjoy the iconic Aquatics Centre, which will open its doors for the first time since the Games, hosting a series of events, galas and public swimming and diving sessions.
Why not visit the Olympic Park on a weekend break to the capital and see all the important sporting venues for yourself?
