Orange Tree Announces Forthcoming Productions
Date Posted: 05/06/14
The Orange Tree Theatre - London’s only permanent theatre-in-the-round venue - has announced its new productions for the 2014/15 season.
Among the highlights are DH Lawrence play The Widowing of Mrs Holroyd, which is directed by Paul Miller and will kick things off on Wednesday September 3rd, and Little Light by Alice Birch - which will be directed by David Mercatali.
Other shows on the bill include George Bernard Shaw’s Widowers’ Houses, Play Mas by Mustapha Matura, and Distance by Deborah Bruce.
All of this heralds Paul Miller’s first season as artistic director at the Orange Tree Theatre and a stunning line of productions isn’t his only plan.
He also announced that 20,000 tickets costing £10 will be made available to theatregoers under the age of 30, while the auditorium is set to get a facelift ahead of the start of the new season.
This certainly means visitors on theatre breaks in London should keep an eye on what’s going on at the Orange Tree if they’re after a slightly different night out at one of the capital’s shows.
