Mira Schendel Show at the Tate Modern
Date Posted: 07/11/13
September saw a new show kick-off at London's vibrant Tate Modern gallery featuring pieces by Mira Schendel. The show collects more than 270 art works such as sculptures and paintings.
It began on September 25th, and is set to stay on show at the capital-based attraction until January 19th 2014.
According to organisers, the artist was born in Switzerland, later spending much of her life in São Paolo. She died in 1988.
The exhibition takes place on level 3 of the gallery, and is open daily between 10am and 6pm, with later opening until 10pm on Fridays and Saturdays. It will show work spanning the artist's full career, much of which hasn't actually been put on display before.
Modern art fans are sure to love the Tate Modern, which is Britain's most famous gallery dedicated to this type of art, and could make an excellent day out for those staying at London hotels.
