Military takes part in royal wedding rehearsal
Date Posted: 27/04/11

Preparations for the royal wedding are continuing apace, with members of the military taking part on a full-scale rehearsal in the early hours of this morning (April 27th).
Those staying in London hotels who were up at the crack of dawn will have had the chance to see members of the RAF, army and navy preparing for Will and Kate's big day on Friday.
Just before 05:00 BST, around 1,000 members of the military left Wellington Barracks in Westminster, lining the route along Horse Guards Parade and Parliament Street.
Two royal fleet cars were the first to arrive at Westminster Abbey and were later joined by a full-scale procession including carriages.
On Friday, the parade will travel down The Mall, Horse Guards Road, Horse Guards Parade and through Horse Guards Arch, before heading along Whitehall to Parliament Square and Broad Sanctuary.
Further rehearsals for the clergy and the press are scheduled to take place, but further afield preparations are taking place for a host of royal wedding street parties.
Brits are expected to splash out a total of £480 million celebrating the occasion, according to research from moneysupermarket.com.
