Mark Watson Feeling the Pressure Ahead of Marathon Stand-up Show
Date Posted: 22/02/13
Those who visit London next week will have a chance to witness a unique event in the world of comedy with funnyman Mark Watson set to perform 25 hours of continuous stand-up at the city's Pleasance Theatre.
The event will raise money for Comic Relief, which this year celebrates its 25th anniversary.
And although Watson is known for having performed 24-hour stand-up shows in the past, he admitted he his feeling the pressure ahead of his latest marathon gig.
In an interview with the Metro, he explained that whereas previous shows have been "pure exercises in messing about", this time the stakes are higher.
"This is a massive fundraising exercise," he told the newspaper. "The admin levels are through the roof."
The final batch of tickets for the show were released yesterday (February 21st), while the seats of those audience members who fail to make it through the full 25 hours will be re-allocated to those waiting on the door.
