Man with the Golden Cue: Nigel Bond wins inaugural Snooker Shoot-Out

Nigel Bond rolled back the years to become the first Snooker Shoot-Out champion after he beat Robert Milkins in the final.
Playing in front of an electric atmosphere built up by those staying in Blackpool hotels, Bond took the title with a 58-24 victory in the one-frame knockout event at the town's Circus Arena.
The 45-year-old scooped the £32,000 top prize and was able to lift his first trophy since he was successful at the 1997 Scottish Masters.
"This event is not for the feint-hearted, but I proved I can still pot the balls under pressure when it matters," said Bond.
Introduced this year by World Snooker chairman Barry Hearn, the tournament featured the top 64 players in the rankings, who were entered into a one-frame knockout.
A time limit of ten minutes was put on each match, with the pressure intensified by a 20-second and then 15-second shot clock.
"This tournament has been brilliant for me, it's helped to get more of a buzz about the game and it's good to have snooker back on Sky television," added the champion.
The players now head to Berlin to take part in the German Masters, before the Welsh Open in February.
