Mamma Mia! to mark move with gala performance

Mamma Mia! will mark its move to the Novello Theatre with a gala performance in aid of the charity Children in Need next month.
Fans of the ABBA romp should book London hotels for Wednesday, September 12th to catch the show, which will feature guest performances from BBC Radio 2 presenters Vanessa Feltz, Anneka Rice and Penny Smith.
The popular musical from Judy Craymer includes an array of pop songs by ABBA as it tells the story of a 20-year-old girl named Sophie who is trying to find out the identity of her father prior to her wedding.
Take a Chance on Me, Knowing Me, Knowing You and Dancing Queen are among the hits performed in the production.
Mamma Mia! is not the first stage show to support the BBC charity this year and the organisation's annual Pop Goes the Musical line-up has just been announced, with Blue, Geri Halliwell, Macy Gray and Stooshe set to take part in unique curtain calls at Les Miserables, Jersey Boys and Thriller Live, among others.
