London theatre break star Diana Rig cast in Pygmalion

Diana Rigg, a star of the London theatre breaks scene, will be appearing in Pygmalion when it opens later in the season.
She will take up the role of Mrs Higgins, alongside Rupert Everett (Henry Higgins) and Kara Tointon (Eliza Doolittle).
Directed and designed by Philip Prowse, the production is set to open at the Garrick Theatre on Wednesday May 25th, booking until Saturday September 3rd.
Rigg has starred in a number of high-profile plays in the capital, including Mother Courage and Her Children in 1995, Humble Boy in 2001 and All About My Mother four years ago.
Pygmalion tells the famous story of Eliza Doolittle, the London flower girl who is transformed into a lady by professor Higgins after he has a bet with his friend.
Currently, the Garrick Theatre is playing host to The Hurly Burly Show, which is running at the West End venue until Sunday May 1st.
