London Preparing for Notting Hill Carnival
Date Posted: 29/07/14
Every year the Notting Hill Carnival erupts in a riot of colour and sound on London’s streets, creating one of the year’s biggest parties.
Anyone who is considering heading to London for a weekend break during August should try to coincide their trip with this iconic event.
Running across Sunday August 24th and Monday August 25th, 2014 promises to be just as spectacular as previous years. Sunday is family day, with a host of events designed to keep youngsters entertained, as well as a special children’s parade.
On the Monday, the main event will take place, with hundreds of dancers, musicians and performers making their way through Notting Hill and Ladbroke Grove. As always, the costumes will be larger than life and the floats will be spectacular - a fantastic day out for the whole family.
If all of that gets you in the party mood, you’ll find plenty of evening events where you can dance the night away taking place at Notting Hill’s many pubs, bars and clubs. Join in the fun and have a carnival to remember.
