Life of Pi Comes to London Zoo
Date Posted: 29/04/13
Tourists staying in London hotels this week can take advantage of the chance to see one of the biggest blockbuster movies of the past year in one of the capital's most exciting locations.
Ang Lee's Life of Pi, which tells the story of a young boy who embarks on an epic voyage across the sea accompanied by a Bengal tiger, will be playing at London Zoo every evening this week, with the final showing on Friday night (May 3rd).
Before the film, visitors will be greeted with a glass of champagne and given an after-hours tour of the zoo's brand new Tiger Territory, where they can get a close look at the two resident Sumatran tigers, Jae Jae and Melati, both of whom are recent arrivals in London.
The movie itself will then be shown on an outdoor screen amid the sights and sounds of the zoo's many exotic animals.
Having picked up four Oscars, including best cinematography and best visual effects, Life of Pi is a film that is sure to capture the imagination of audiences young and old.
