Less than 2 weeks until the 15th Truck Festival
Date Posted: 10/07/12
Truck Festival returns to Hill Farm in Steventon in 2012 for its 15th anniversary in less than two weeks, complete with an exciting bill that includes headliners The Temper Trap and Mystery Jets.
Music fans should book short breaks to the Oxfordshire farm for Friday, July 20th and Saturday, July 21st to attend the festival.
More than 60 bands are set to play across three stages, with 65 Days of Static, Federation of the Disco Pimp, Emmy the Great, This Town Needs Guns, Frightened Rabbit, Crash of Rhinos and Tellison representing some of the must-see highlights.
Truck Festival has been described as "the godfather of small festivals" due to its brilliant atmosphere and varied line-up of up-and-coming, as well as established bands.
It first began in 1998 when Robin and Joe Bennett had come to the conclusion that mainstream music festivals were too commercialised and predictable.
Although the main stage is constructed by two flatbed trucks, the festival actually gained its name from when the founder picked up a compilation CD entitled Ten Trucking Greats, the soundtrack to the film Convoy.
