Laura Marling announces Scottish tour details
Date Posted: 31/05/11
Laura Marling, known for her soulful voice and acoustic style, has announced that she is playing six dates in Scotland as part of a mini tour.
She will appear at Aros Hall in Tobermory on Monday July 18th, before heading to Stornoway, Portree and Banchory.
Those booking Aberdeen hotels will then be able to see her in action at the Lemon Tree on Saturday July 23rd, three nights before she ends the roadshow in Iverness at The Ironworks.
Earlier this year Marling released her second album I Speak Because I Can, which was described by NME.com writer Alex Denney as a "stunning performance".
He said that tracks such as Goodbye England (Covered In Snow) show signs of great sensitivity in her songwriting.
She will be expected to cover favourites from this album, and her first one, titled Alas I Cannot Swim, when she appears at Glastonbury and Camp Bestival later this year.
