Date Posted: 25/07/11
Doctor Who star Karen Gillan will make her professional stage debut when she appears in Inadmissible Evidence at the Donmar Warehouse later this year.
The production can be seen by those booking London theatre breaks from Thursday October 13th, with Douglas Hodge, Esther Hall, Amy Morgan, Al Weaver and Daniel Ryan also in the cast.
Gillan has made her name playing Amy Pond in the BBC sci-fi favourite alongside the eleventh doctor Matt Smith.
She has also starred in The Kevin Bishop Show and The Well, while she has recently filmed We'll take Manhattan for BBC4.
Inadmissible Evidence tells the story of troubled lawyer Bill Maitland who ends up going on trial in order to protect his own sanity.
It was written by John Osborne in 1964 and turned into a film four years later, starring Nicol Williamson and Eleanor Fazan.
Currently, the Donmar Warehouse is showing Schiller's Luise Miller until the end of July, with Anna Christie by Eugene Miller running between Thursday August 4th and Saturday October 8th.
