Jonathan Wilkes to join cast of Chicago
Date Posted: 05/05/11
Jonathan Wilkes is joining the cast of Chicago, which is currently playing at the Cambridge theatre until January next year.
He will take up the role of Billy Flynn in front of those on London theatre breaks, and will also star alongside Debbie Kurup.
She will appear as Velma Kelly, a character she played back in 2006, with both actors in the production from Monday May 9th for seven weeks.
The pair join the likes of Sarah Soetaert, James Doherty and Jasna Ivir.
Wilkes, who is perhaps best known for his close friendship with Robbie Williams, has starred in West End favourite The Rocky Horror Show, while he has also gone on the road with Grease and We Will Rock You.
Kurup, meanwhile, was last seen entertaining crowds in the role of KT in Sister Act.
Chicago is the longest ever running Broadway musical currently playing in the West End.
