James Blunt's latest work has "a new sensibility"
Date Posted: 18/01/11
James Blunt's latest album is released in the US tomorrow and he is hoping that the effort will be enough to win over the public across the Atlantic.
The former army captain will let loose Some Kind of Trouble, which he says has "a new sensibility", moving away from the innocence of his first hit.
However, Blunt is not concerned by the chart position of his new record, instead saying that performing in front of crowds is what he is in the business for.
"Playing live is what being a musician is about. The charts or units sold are nothing to do with being a musician. Getting up on stage and taking people on an emotional journey is the purpose of being here in the first place," he told Billboard.com.
Blunt will kick off his UK tour with a performance at Glasgow's SECC and Clyde Auditorium, before entertaining those staying in Newcastle hotels with a gig at the City Hall on Friday February 18th.
The You're Beautiful singer will then go on to play all around the UK, including concerts in Sheffield, Manchester, Cardiff and London.
