Date Posted: 28/03/14
Visitors to Kew Gardens this April will be in for a treat as over five million bulbs will be in full bloom.
Visitors will be able to marvel at the various species on the ‘Spring Spectacular’ guided tours, to explore the very best of the bulbs and blossoms on display.
Guests can feast their eyes on carpets of bright yellow and orange daffodils and white and purple crocuses during this hour-long tour, which runs daily from 12 noon to 1pm until April 30th.
For the more unusual and exotic bulbs, visitors should go to the Davies Alpine House, with has changing displays until May and the special tulip collection which blooms in late March.
Another popular place to see the flowers at Kew is the Arboretum where people will be able to see and smell the delicate blossom along Cherry Walk until mid April.
If you visit in early April, then you’ve come just in time for the spectacular magnolia bloom near Elizabeth Gate. There are also magnolias to be seen in The Shirley Sherwood Gallery of Botanical Art with an exhibition showcasing beautiful detailed paintings of the species by award winning botanical artist Barbara Oozeerally.
See the Kew Gardens flower display on a weekend spring break and book yourself into a London hotel.
