Go Fly a Kite in Brighton
Date Posted: 25/06/14
The Kite Festival in Brighton is one of the highlights for summer visitors on a weekend break, as the skies over the city are filled with colourful and unusual creations fluttering in the wind.
It is one of the largest and longest running kite festivals in the UK and the event in 2014, which takes place on Saturday July 12th and Sunday July 13th, looks set to be as good as ever.
Stanmer Park will be the centre of the kite-flying action, with a wide variety of weird and wonderful kites set to take to the sky.
As well as the kites themselves, visitors can see aerial displays from some of the world’s best solo and team kite flyers, and watch kite fighting.
If you’ll be visiting Brighton with the kids, there is plenty to keep them occupied too, as a special kite making workshop will be part of proceedings to ensure youngsters are entertained.
Best of all, though, the entire weekend is completely free to attend.
