Get Ready for the Edinburgh International Magic Festival
Date Posted: 12/06/14
From Friday June 27th to Friday July 4th, Edinburgh will be home to a host of magicians practising all kinds of hocus-pocus to delight audiences of all ages as part of the Edinburgh International Magic Festival.
There will be everything from large-scale magic shows to demonstrations of close-up illusions during the week-long festival, as well as mentalism displays and even magic workshops.
Among the performers who will be dazzling audiences with their illusions are Luke Jermay with his new show Strange Power, Michael Neto who fuses theatre and magic in his one-man production Tragic Magic, and Scott Smith who will be presenting “The Imagining”.
If you can afford to stay in a hotel in Edinburgh for the duration of the festival, you could even attend the five-day Magic School Course.
The shows will be held at venues across the city, including the Royal Lyceum Theatre, Lauriston Castle, the Scottish Storytelling Centre and the City Art Centre.
