Feel the force at Legoland Windsor
Date Posted: 24/02/12
Legoland Windsor has recently announced that its Lego Star Wars Miniland Experience will open to the public on Saturday, March 24th with a grand opening ceremony.
Star Wars fanatics on the hunt for short breaks will have to look no further than the brick-themed Berkshire attraction to get their fill of the force.
Lucasfilm Ltd is working in conjunction with Legoland Windsor to create the Miniland Experience. It will feature seven scenes from the film recreated using approximately 1.5 million Lego bricks.
The park will host an array of Star Wars themed events in the opening ceremony.
Guests can meet a selection of costumed characters, defend the park from a battalion of Stormtroopers and even play hunt the Ewok.
Legoland Windsor is the spiritual home for the popular building bricks brand and the country's second most-visited theme-park after 1.9 million people entered through its gates in 2010.
Lego Star Wars has been a fixture of the Star Wars franchise since 1999. It features video games, toys, a comic strip and now theme park attractions.
