Family holidays can be a 'fantastic bonding experience'

Families on short breaks may find they are brought together and become much closer as a result of the bonding experience.
Not only do parents get a chance to recharge the batteries after long weeks in work, they also get the opportunity to form some beautiful memories with their family, explained Chrissie Lewandowski, co-founder of SingleWithKids.co.uk.
"Parents of young children and babies often need a break more than most and while there's more planning involved, it can be a real bonding experience to simply spend time with the children with no household distractions," she said.
Families with younger children in particular should try to stay in the UK when holidaying as travelling abroad can require extra stressful preparation, even if it does guarantee more sunshine.
There are plenty of family-friendly locations up and down the British Isles, including spots such as Feather Down Farms and Center Parcs. The farm-based holiday is ideal for children that love animals. While the more sporty-types may prefer a trip to one of Center Parc's four locations nationwide.
