FA Cup semi-finals at Wembley Stadium lined-up
Date Posted: 28/03/12
Following last night's matches between Sunderland and Everton and Tottenham and Bolton, football fans now know the two semi-final fixtures in this year's FA Cup, which take place at Wembley Stadium in April.
Everton earned a fixture against fellow Merseyside rivals Liverpool after defeating Sunderland 2-0 at the Stadium of Light. New signing from Rangers Nikica Jelavic scored the opener before an own goal from David Vaughan sealed the victory.
Fans travelling down from Liverpool will probably need to book London hotels near Wembley the day before the fixture, which takes place on Saturday, April 14th, in order to make the 15:00 GMT kick-off in comfortable time.
Goals from Tottenham Hotspur's Gareth Bale, Ryan Nelsen and Louis Saha during the rescheduled match against Bolton Wanderers ensured the north London team still have the opportunity to take the FA Cup home.
Kevin Davies scored a consolation goal for Bolton but it was not enough to defeat Harry Redknapp's side.
The original fixture was postponed when Bolton midfield Fabrice Muamba suffered cardiac arrest just after half-time during the match at White Hart Lane on Saturday, March 17th.
Spurs now face Chelsea at Wembley on Sunday, April 15th.
