England have ensured that the Ashes urn will be coming home with them after thrashing Australia in Melbourne to take an unassailable 2-1 lead in the series.
Tim Bresnan took the final wicket of the match to give Andrew Strauss' men a victory by an innings and 157 runs, giving them an excellent chance of winning the contest outright in Sydney next week.
"We've got to keep our feet on the ground because there are many goals that we want to achieve both in this series and into the future. But we're very excited right now. It's a special occasion the MCG (Melbourne Cricket Ground) game and to come out here and retain the Ashes is something that will live long in all our memories," said the captain after the match.
Following the win, England's players took time out to celebrate with thousands of Barmy Army supporters who have travelled to see their team in Australia.
Cricket supporters wanting to cheer their side on during the English summer can see their first game of the season by booking Cardiff hotels when they take on Sri Lanka at the Swalec Stadium between Thursday 26th and Monday 30th of May.
