Edinburgh Film Festival Programme Announced
Date Posted: 30/05/14
The Edinburgh Film Festival will begin on Wednesday June 18th, and this week details of the full programme were finally announced.
Hyena, a British crime thriller, makes its world premiere on the opening night of the festival, while other new movies due to be screened include Snowpiercer and Is The Man Who is Tall Happy?.
As always, the event has special areas of focus and this year it will be shining the spotlight on German and Iranian cinema.
There will also be a retrospective of British filmmaker John McGrath’s work, with the likes of Black Oil, Play for Today: the Cheviot, and John Brown’s Body all being shown throughout the course of the festival.
If you’re staying in an Edinburgh hotel during the ten-day cinematic extravaganza, make sure you catch at least one screening. Tickets go on general release from Monday June 2nd, so check out the full listing of events at the Edinburgh Film Festival website and pick a movie or two that you’d like to watch.
