Louise Lytton, who has played the part of Ruby Allen in EastEnders since 2005, is to hit the stage in a new play at London's Cockpit in time for those booking theatre breaks this September.
Sarah Goddard's A Broken Rose is to open on Tuesday, September 11th, telling the traumatic and powerful tale of Maria (Lytton) who has invented her own magical world to live in.
She begins to become confused as her tough life and imaginary existence become interchangeable, with her left unable to take hold of either.
A Broken Rose is to be directed by the award-winning Phil Willmott, who worked as an artistic director on The Steam Industry.
Only 23-years-old, Lytton has been acting since an early age, also becoming the youngest ever contestant on Strictly Come Dancing at the age of 17.
Joining Lytton in the cast is Nicholas Boulton, Nicola Wright, John Last, Amy Barnes and Chris Barley.
