Danny DeVito to make West End debut in The Sunshine Boys
Date Posted: 31/01/12
Hollywood movie star Danny DeVito will be making his West End debut later this year when he stars in Neil Simon's The Sunshine Boys.
He will appear alongside Richard Griffiths in the production, which those booking London theatre breaks can see between Friday April 27th and Saturday July 28th.
It will run at the Savoy theatre and be directed by Thea Sharrock.
The Sunshine Boys first made a name for itself when it appeared on Broadway back in 1972, a year after DeVito starred in a stage version of One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest.
He has also played roles in a number of Hollywood favourites, including LA Confidential, Batman Returns, Taxi and Twins.
DeVito has turned his hand to producing and directing in the past, having worked on classics like Pulp Fiction, Erin Brockovich and Matilda.
Griffiths will also be a familiar face to many, having appeared in a number of the Harry Potter films, the History Boys and The Naked Gun 2 ½ : The Smell of Fear.
