Cultural heritage sites in the UK to see a strong 2012

British museums and galleries can expect to have a strong 2012, according to an industry expert.
John Stachiewicz, chairman of the Association for Cultural Enterprises, said that the Olympics and the Jubilee weekend will help to show the UK in the best possible light, while the 100 days of summer events will also play a role.
"I think it's a combination of a period of celebration coupled with the uncertain economic times that we're in. We've found over the decades that people want that historical reassurance during periods of uncertainty – they flock back to places for what is almost a kind of spiritual refreshment," he added.
Attractions such as the British Museum, the Natural History Museum and Science Museum could all prove popular among those booking London hotels this year.
Mr Stachiewicz went on to say that the Olympics later this summer will affect everyone in the country, even those living outside of the capital city.
